NACM Committee Roles

These descriptions of the NACM Committees are offered to provide a brief overview of the committee's work.  More detailed information about the committee's work can be found by contacting the committee chairs listed on this website.  Committee reports will soon be posted to the website.

 

Membership Services
Committee

The primary role of this standing committee is to actively pursue new and non-renewing members and to respond to all inquires concerning membership. The committee further seeks to recognize and publicly acknowledge meritorious individuals and programs through its various award programs.

 

Nominations Committee This standing committee solicits declarations of candidacy from NACM members interested in serving as a Board Member or Board Officer. The committee interviews the candidates and recommends a slate of nominees for action by the NACM membership. This committee is chaired by the past president.  The president appoints members based on recommendations of the past president.

 

Past Presidents Committee This standing committee serves as an advisor to the Board and President of the organization. They meet on an as needed basis to study referrals from the Board President and Board of Directors.

 

Planning Committee This standing committee maintains and updates the Strategic Plan. This committee is also charged with the responsibility for reviewing and making recommendations for revisions to the NACM Operations Manual and the Bylaws.

 

Conference Development Committee This standing committee is responsible for all of NACM's educational offerings.  The committee plans and conducts the Midyear and Annual Conferences.

 

Publications Committee This standing committee creates and publishes various publications including the Court Manager, the Communique and the Mini Guides. From time to time, it may issue other articles and publications of interest to the membership. The Publications committee works closely with the Professional Development and Website Committees.

 

Website Committee This ad hoc committee is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing the capabilities of the NACM website. This committee works closely with the Publications Committee.
