President Will Simmons’ Message – January 2020
01/17/2020President’s Message – May 2020
05/22/2020Greetings NACM Members, NACM cares about the health and safety of all of our members. We know that each of you are doing all you can in your respective courts to maintain essential court services throughout the country in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) global health crises. We are humbled to see that many state and local emergency orders are specifically listing court personnel as essential along with emergency and first responders. Many courts remain open to handle matters that affect people’s liberty and you, our members, are the backbone that helps make that happen in these unprecedented times. NACM, and we as fellow court professionals, stand with you and thank you for your dedication. We encourage you to stay connected by visiting the National Center for State Court’s (NCSC) pandemic response website for regular updates regarding how state courts are maintaining access to justice during this crisis. We are aware that there are federal, state, county, local, and municipal travel restrictions. Your NACM Board will continue to monitor COVID-19 while remaining in contact with the State of Louisiana’s protocol regarding our scheduled Annual Conference in New Orleans, July 12-16, 2020. At this time, hotels are not rescheduling events for the summer. We will keep you informed of any potential changes. Your health and safety is our primary concern. As members, you have access to a wealth of NACM webinars and resources with just your login on the NACM website. We encourage you to stay connected with your colleagues, especially those of you who may be working remotely from home. Take the opportunity to listen to a NACM podcast or scroll through our past conferences to watch a session that you were unable to attend. Or look up a colleague in the Membership Directory and reconnect. Please feel free to contact me directly at will@nacmnet.org should you have questions or concerns for the NACM Board. Please also continue to be safe and vigilant during this time. Thank you. Will Simmons, President March 2020 |
