Presenting: The NACM 2020 Virtual Education Program and Expo
August 20 – October 22, 2020
Welcome to NACM’s first-ever virtual education experience! Earlier this summer, NACM’s leadership made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person annual conference in New Orleans. But don’t worry, we rebooked to come back in 2024! With nearly 40 sessions planned, we didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to share this educational content with each of you, our fellow court professionals. With the generous support of the State Justice Institute, we are moving nearly all of our sessions online to a 10-week educational series each Thursday afternoon. The series will consist of both live and recorded sessions along with unique networking events, a virtual expo and other surprises. And did we mention that the whole series is complimentary?! You are reading that correctly. With SJI’s assistance, in this time of economic uncertainties, we feel that it is our duty as an organization to get educational content out to a many court professionals as possible. So whether you are a member or not, the virtual education experience is available complimentary. We know that we cannot replace the in-person experience and networking of a traditional conference, but we hope that you will embrace the spirit of the (Intra)Connected Courts that we are today.
Now, more than ever, we are CONNECTED COURTS. As an institution, courts are part of the local, state and national community. As such, courts must be connected to their communities. This necessitates that courts are part of the conversation on numerous important issues from substance abuse to mental health. So too must courts be involved on issues of reform all the while working with other branches of government and their communities to ensure access to justice is not just a platitude but is real and achievable. As a profession of court professionals, NACM promotes the sharing of best practices, innovations and insights on the management of our courts.
